Due to essential production requirements and a commitment to student safety, the performance schedule for The Music Man has been adjusted. Please see the details below regarding rescheduled dates, ticket options, and public sales.
What are the new performance dates?
To ensure that all ticket holders can keep their originally purchased seat numbers, performances have been moved as follows:
Thursday, Jan 29 is now Sunday, Feb 8 at 7:00 PM
Friday, Jan 30 is now Monday, Feb 9 at 7:00 PM
Saturday, Jan 31 (2:00 PM) is now Tuesday, Feb 10 at 7:00 PM
Saturday, Jan 31 (7:00 PM) is now Wednesday, Feb 11 at 7:00 PM
Why were the dates changed to weeknights/Super Bowl Sunday?
We understand that weeknights and Super Bowl Sunday are far from ideal and that the Super Bowl is the most watched event of the year. However, after exhaustive planning and reviewing every possible scenario, this was the only option that allowed our full cast, orchestra, and technical crew to remain together. We are happy to try and help move your tickets to accommodate your families as much as we possibly can.
Why wasn't the show moved to Valentine's Day weekend instead of weeknights?
Every school production has different logistics. With a cast and crew of 137 students, our team had to look at the availability of every single participant onstage, backstage, and in the pit. We found that a large portion of our students were unavailable on Valentine’s weekend. To ensure that every student who worked on this show gets to cross the finish line with their teammates, we chose weeknight dates that allowed for the highest number of the full cast/crew/pit to remain intact. We believe this stability is what’s best for the students after so much recent uncertainty while also celebrating the highest number of student performers we possibly can.
Why was the Sunday, Feb 1st (2:00 PM) matinee cancelled?
To ensure our student performers are safe, prepared, and successful, we have had to prioritize a full-scale technical rehearsal in the Beeler auditorium over a 5th performance. Sunday is the only window available for the entire cast and crew to run the show with all technical elements in tandem with a full student orchestra pit before opening.
I had tickets for the cancelled Feb 1st Matinee. What are my options?
Ticket holders for the cancelled performance may choose one of the following:
Exchange: Move your tickets to any of the four rescheduled dates (Feb 8–11).
Refund: Receive a full refund to your original payment method.
Donate: Donate the cost of your ticket to help the theatre program recoup the financial loss of the cancelled show.
Please email [email protected] by Saturday with your choice.
Note: If no preference is received by Saturday at 11:59, a refund will be issued automatically.
Can I still keep my original seats?
Yes! If you are attending the rescheduled date that corresponds with your original ticket, your seat numbers remain exactly the same.
When will tickets go on sale to the general public?
Tickets are now ON SALE! Thank you so much for your patience as we waited for the official green light! Now, let's fill those seats!
Are these dates for sure?
Yes! We now have official permission for the show to run this Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Beeler Auditorium!! See you there!
