Auditions
How do I audition?STEP 1: Complete the Audition form HERE. This MUST be completed by NOON the day of your vocal audition or you cannot audition. STEP 2: Join the audition Student Square Group. STEP 3: Choose ONE day to do a 20 minute vocal audition. SIGN UP ON THE BOARD across from room 120. To be considered for the musical you must come to a vocal audition. You will prepare and perform a memorized 16 bar cut from a musical in the style of “The Music Man.” This may be done in any of the following ways: - with a youtube or Mp3 karaoke track that you will send to us BEFORE the auditions (your files can be emailed to Ms. Gorrell or directly uploaded to this folder, labeling the audio as your name) - Your own bluetooth speaker to play your track - We will have an accompanist you may use (you will need to bring sheet music in the correct key, marked with start and end). YOU MAY NOT SING A CAPELLA. Please arrive 15 minutes before your audition. - Tuesday, October 7th from 3:20 - 6:00 - Wednesday, October 8th from 3:20 - 6:00 STEP 4: Choose ONE day to come to dance and acting auditions. SIGN UP ON THE BOARD across the hall from room 120. To be considered for the musical you must come to a dance/acting audition. You will need to stay for the full 2 hours. You will not need to prepare anything for this audition. You will be learning and performing a dance and reading scenes from the show. Please wear clothes and shoes you can dance in. Please bring water. - Thursday, October 9th from 3:30 -5:30 - Friday, October 10th from 3:30 - 5:30 STEP 5: We will have Callbacks October 13th, 14th and 15th from 3;30 - 5:30. We will post who we need to see for callbacks on Friday October 10th by 8:00pm via the audition Student Square Group. Step 6: We will post the Cast and Crew list via the audition Student Square Group on Friday October 17th @ 3:30. SMART Actors, Dancers, & Singers READ THE SCRIPT before auditions… Be Smart! |
How do I apply to be a technician? STEP 1: Thoughtfully complete the Tech Application form HERE. This MUST be completed by October 10th @ 5:30. STEP 2: Join the audition Student Square Group STEP 3: You may need to have tech interviews with Ms. Kisling. If she needs an interview with you she will contact you via Parent/Student Square Step 4: We will post the Cast and Crew list via Student/Parent Square on Friday October 17th @ 3:30 . |
