DIRECTORS AND TEACHERS
Amie Kisling
Amie Kisling is the theatre teacher and director at Lafayette High School and the Junior/Senior theatre teacher for the School for the Creative and Performing Arts at Lafayette. Before teaching at LHS and SCAPA, Amie spent three wonderful years as the theatre teacher at Bryan Station High School. Prior to teaching in the classroom, Amie worked as the Associate Education Director at Lexington Children's Theatre for four years, teaching classes and directing plays. Amie holds a MFA in theatre from the University of Central Florida and undergraduate degrees in Theatre and Music Education with a minor in Dance from Eastern Kentucky University. Amie is Regional Arts Specialist for the Kentucky Department of Education and serves on the board for Kentucky Thespians. When not teaching or directing, Amie lives to spend time outdoors with her wonderful husband Jeremy and their clever and active 5 year old son Leo.

Cassady Gorrell
Cassady Gorrell is the Introduction to Theatre teacher and Theatre 2 co-teacher at Lafayette High School. Prior to working in the high school classroom she worked as a Resident Teaching Artist with Lexington Children's Theatre teaching classes, choreographing musical theatre ensembles, and having so much fun! Cassady graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a Master of Arts in Arts Administration and an undergraduate degree in Theatre, a minor in Music Theory and History, and certificates in Musical Theatre and Peace Studies. During this time she also studied at Shakespeare's Globe in London, England and interned for Seattle Children's Theatre. She is currently studying with Thomas More University to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching . Cassady is so thankful to be a part of the Lafayette Theatre family! When she is not teaching, studying, or helping with rehearsals she loves to spend time with her dog, Rusty Jim, and listening to podcasts!
